2016 Year in Review

Remember that time I had a blog that I regularly updated?

HA! Me neither!

While blogging clearly has become something that I just don't have time to do as often as I would like,

 I do love having this little outlet where I can write down sweet memories I just don't want to forget.

This year, I will not even be resolving to blog more as in years past. 

Because judging by the fact that my 2015 year in review was my last post, clearly I just can't stick to it!

With that said, here is a recap of our 2016 because I want to always remember how we spent our days together last year.

January

• I joined the Twin Cities Moms Blog event team!
• We committed to more family fun weekends with movies, rides at MOA, Children's Museum trips, and more!

February

• Celebrated my 25th birthday
• Emme became fully potty trained!
• Emme and Daddy went to their first ever daddy daughter dance
• I left working at Lifetime

March

Apparently nothing super exciting went down in March- HA!

April

• 3rd annual family trip to Chicago
• We put our townhouse on the market!

May

• Sold our house and bought our new house!
• Join the Twin Cities Moms Blog team as Project Coordinator - my dream job!

June

• Celebrated 5 years of marriage with a surprise hotel getaway downtown! 
• Close on our townhouse and temporarily moved in with my dad 
• Ethan spent nearly the whole month away for National Guard
• Emme and me went to Colorado with my family for a vacation in Colorado Springs
• We paid off all of our student loans and our van to become completely debt free!

July

Close on our new home, renovations begin! 

August

• Yearly summer day trip to Stillwater
• Emme's first boat ride with Stephanie & Jim on Lake Minnetonka
• MN State Fair aka: the Kleiner family's favorite time of year ;)
• Started my health and wellness journey by getting back into maintaining my diet and exercise!

September

• Emme turns 3! Celebrated at the park with friends at her "Uno, Dos, Tres Fiesta!"
• Emme starts dance and two days a week of school

October

• Finish home renovation and move in!
• Celebrate Ethan's 26th birthday
• First Halloween in our new house- Emme goes as Belle!
• Enjoyed two women's conferences with friends

November

• Hosted Thanksgiving Brunch with my high school friends for the second year
• Ethan gets promoted at work!

December

• Yearly Duluth trip for Bentleyville
• Celebrated the victory of losing 16 lbs by the end of the year!

2015 Year in Review

Our 2015 was full of fun, adventure, & lots of beautiful memories.

Here is a recap below:

January

January kicked off with us gaining a new sister in law when Kevin proposed to Alyssa!

We embarked on our first Kleiner family trip to Disneyworld,

and also enjoyed Daytona Beach!

February

I celebrated my birthday, 

and this little love celebrated Valentines Day!

March

March was the month of all things Whole30 and many meals like this,

and we celebrated with donuts when it was done!

We also started our springtime walks (even if snow was on the ground!)

April

April brought Easter and this girl's first egg hunt,

and our sweet nephew Deacon was born!

May

We celebrated Mothers Day,

enjoyed the first of many visits to the zoo with our pass,

as well as Valleyfair trips with our pass!

And we ended the month with our second annual Memorial Day trip to Chicago!

June

June kicked off with a bang at the Rolling Stones concert,

and we celebrated four years of marriage!

Ethan started at Deluxe Corporation as an IT Web Analyst,

and we ended the month with a long weekend in Duluth.

July

Emersyn loved her first Fourth of July parade,

and we bought a minivan, officially committing us to the parent life! ;)

We also enjoyed seeing Needtobreathe & Drew Holcomb (our faves!) in concert!

August

We celebrated my Dad's big 60th birthday,

and ended many days with ice cream dates.

My college roomies reunited,

And we enjoyed the first (of MANY!) trips to the MN State Fair!

September

Our sweet Emersyn turned 2 on September 4th,

and high school friends reunited!

We celebrated that fall had arrived with a porch full of pumpkins,

Emersyn started school, 

and we rocked it out at Taylor Swift!

October

October was full of women's conferences, including my first night away from Emersyn & Ethan...

and she welcomed me home with kisses ;)

We visited pumpkin patches,

celebrated my sissy's 21st birthday,

and finished out the month in Destin, FL with my mom, stepdad, and siblings!

November

November was wedding month for my dear brother & sis-in-law,

and we hosted Thanksgiving brunch with my high school friends!

And we definitely downed several cups of cocoa in our Christmas jammies ;)

December

I became apart of the Twin Cities Mom's Blog Event Team,

and Emersyn had her first Christmas concert (which clearly went well),

We saw Santa and Emersyn was not a fan at first,

and Ethan graduated from college!

We went to Bentleyville in Duluth for Christmas Eve Eve (and suddenly Santa was way better!),

and we had a wonderful Christmas surrounded by family.

And we topped off New Years Eve with a kiss! ;)

Looking back on 2015,

I realize how much Emersyn grew,

how many vacations we took, 

how many concerts we saw,

and how busy we were!

This year,

we hope to slow down,

squeeze in an anniversary vacation to celebrate five years of marriage,

have a monthly family fun day,

and to figure out how to stop our daughter from growing up ;)

We are so thankful for the wonderful year we shared with friends and family

and look forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for us in 2016!
